Travel to Germany by Train or by Car

These offers are for individual travellers, and include two nights accommodation in Germany.
If you want to visit on a weekend, please note that most city centre hotels in Cologne are already (March 2007) fully booked for weekends during the Christmas Markets. We can only accept booking for hotels away from the city centre.

All holiday prices are for midweek travel only.

For a weekend holiday you should expect to stay away from the city centre and use public transport to get to the markets. Please phone for prices.

All our Christmas Markets holidays are tailor made to your personal requirements. We do not produce a paper brochure of these holidays.

In order to make the best of Christmas Present buying opportunities, we strongly recommend travelling by car to one of the smaller towns such as Aachen, Bonn, Münster or Trier.

All prices are for two nights accommodation in Germany, are per person, and are based on two people travelling together by car or by train and sharing a double or twin room with private shower or bath and WC.

All accommodation is on a bed and breakfast basis.

Please ask for prices for longer stays, or for people travelling on their own, or for more than two people travelling together.
The maximum stay for self-drive via the Channel Tunnel and Harwich-Hoek van Holland is four nights. A supplement is payable if you want to stay longer.

We do not organise coach travel or coach tours and you should make your own arrangements for air travel.

If you are really keen to fly, many markets mentioned below are easily reached from Amsterdam, Düsseldorf, Cologne and other airports. Please ask for prices including rail travel from any particular airport.

Please book as far in advance as possible. A late booking surcharge of £10 is payable on bookings made less than 10 days before departure.
